Automatic pet feeder: applicable scenarios and three common pitfalls

It can be used for volume control, but cannot be used to solve separation anxiety.
Applicable scenarios include: controlling the food intake of multi-cat families, regular breakfasts for morning workers, and weight loss plans that require divided meals. For families with many pets, models with identification functions can avoid grabbing food.
The first pitfall is the accuracy of grain delivery. The nominal accuracy usually has a deviation of plus or minus ten percent. For cats and dogs that require strict control, the actual food output should be verified once with a kitchen scale.
The second pitfall is power outage. Most models have battery backup, but when the battery is exhausted, it will not only not produce food, but may also become stuck. Regular inspection is recommended.
The third pitfall is to think of it as a solution to separation anxiety. Automatic feeders weaken the connection between food and owner, but they cannot replace interactive companionship and may increase anxiety in the long term.
