Pet medicine kit: What to prepare and what not to prepare

Do not give medicines for humans to pets.
It is recommended to prepare basic items: normal saline, iodophor, sterile gauze, elastic bandage, cotton swabs, electronic thermometer, medicine feeder, hemostatic powder, pet-specific probiotics and anti-flea comb.
Medications that are commonly used but require medical advice include anthelmintics, topical antibiotic ointments for the skin, and anti-allergy medications. These need to be administered accurately according to body weight, and self-estimation is a common cause of poisoning.
Things you should never use on your own include: cold medicines containing acetaminophen (which is highly toxic to dogs and cats), ibuprofen, aspirin, human laxatives, and any product containing xylitol.
The medicine box should be placed in a cool and dry place, and the validity period should be checked every three months. At the same time, the number of the pet emergency hospital is stored in the mobile phone, which saves time in emergencies.
