How to choose a cat climbing frame: stability is more important than height

The weight of the base determines whether it will fall over.

When a cat jumps up and down, it will exert an impact force several times its body weight. A climbing frame with a too light base will tip over when an adult cat reaches the top. One tipping is enough to make the cat refuse to use it for a long time. When purchasing, give priority to the base area and plate thickness.

In terms of height, more than 1.2 meters can cover the vertical needs of most cats, and the top platform must be able to accommodate the entire cat standing and turning. Insufficient platform width will cause cats to lie on their backs and reduce usage.

In terms of materials, sisal posts are durable, while velvet is comfortable but prone to lint accumulation. Velvet posts are more attractive to cats for scratching. If the main purpose is to guide claw grinding, a mixed structure of velvet and sisal is a compromise.

Place it in an area where cats often stay and in a place with a wide view, and avoid facing the air-conditioning outlet by a window. Fixing the climbing frame in the corner can significantly improve stability.
