Cats shed hair all year round: normal shedding or a skin problem?

Partial bald spots, accompanied by scratching, are considered abnormal.
Cats shed hair all year round, with the shedding period being most concentrated in spring and autumn. For breeds with large coats such as orange cats, ragdolls, and Maine Coons, it is not an exaggeration to comb them twice a day.
Normal hair loss is even and no abnormalities are visible on the skin. If you have round bald spots, dandruff, scabs, or frequent scratching or licking at the same spot, you may suspect fungus, mites, or allergies and may need skin scrapings.
An effective way to reduce hair loss is combing and nutrition: combing to remove floating hair, fish oil or high-content omega-3 supplements to improve hair quality. Frequent bathing will destroy the sebum film. Bathing once every two to three months is enough for indoor cats.
One more thing: hair removal cream is not as effective as cat grass and adequate drinking water. Hair removal cream is mainly mineral oil, and long-term use in large amounts will affect the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
